By day you will revel in the ever-changing panoramic views of majestic mountains, the braided Waiou River, and the surrounding sheep, deer and cattle stations. At night you will be dazzled by stars and enchanted by the twinkling lights of Hanmer Springs.
Landscaped grounds include a mature olive grove, fruit and nut orchard, and extensive exotic and native New Zealand plantings.

YOUR HOSTS
Chris and Lisa Preston have built Amuri Estate Retreat as an environmentally sustainable venture. Sharing a love of the outdoors, the land and its history, they continue to study the area and willingly discuss their knowledge with guests.
Chris is a born and bred New Zealander, and has a business leadership background. One of his many passions is exploring New Zealand's many Natural Parks.
Lisa comes from North America though has resided in New Zealand since 1988. Possessing a background in Sales and Marketing her real passion is people. She has travelled many parts of the world both by land and sea, and decided to remain in New Zealand after spending 4 years exploring the Atlantic and Pacific in a vintage wooden yacht.
